Highlights of the press conference

The Renaulution is underway

At a press conference held on Monday 17 October on the Renault stand at the Paris Motor Show, Luca de Meo, CEO of the Renault Group, enthusiastically shared the news and ambitions of the Group and its four brands.

Through its Manifesto concept car, Dacia is reinforcing its desire to go outdoors and, like its entire range, is displaying its new brand identity. With Alpenglow, a disruptive concept, Alpine is adopting a futuristic vision of automotive excellence, with a focus on hydrogen power. Mobilize gives priority to use and sharing, with Duo, an electric quadricycle, on the streets at the end of 2023, and a new ultra-fast recharging service called Mobilize Fast Charge. At the same time, Luca de Meo recalled the role of HYVIA, which reflects the Group’s desire to develop more sustainable solutions to offer hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles, and the entire ecosystem that goes with them.

Fabrice Cambolive, COO of Renault, recalled the four business priorities of the brand: the electrification of its range, its new commercial policy focused on value, the importance of its internationalisation and the reconquest of the C segment. He then presented the world premiere of the New Kangoo E-Tech Electric. Luca de Meo took over to unveil the sporty R5 TURBO 3E show car and a possible future sporty car. He then unveiled the star of the show: the 4EVER Trophy concept, whose features and inspirations were detailed by Gilles Vidal, Renault Design Director. Before concluding, Luca de Meo unveiled RENO, a new digital companion that will be on board the future Renault 5 electric car in 2024, and then in the future Renault 4 electric car the following year.

“At Renault, we love automotive, we love cars! That is why we are at the Paris Motor Show. I believe that through innovation, today we have the opportunity to reinvent this love of the car and the modernity of the automobile. This is what we do when we revive birth to a myth. And the Renault 4 is a myth. It is one of the most emblematic cars in the history of the brand. 4EVER Trophy is a modern reinterpretation of that model, tracing a continuity between the memories of millions and the electric era.”
